Starlizard Integrity Services are honoured to be participating in the BITEFIX project that seeks to help combat match-fixing in sport. Partners in the BITEFIX project also include P1PSU Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Seville FC Foundation, Lega Pro, the International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS), Associação Iscte Conhecimento e Inovação (Iscte), HAŠK Mladost and Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia (GDEP).

The “Building Innovative Tools for the Exchange of Information and Awareness Raising Against Match-Fixing in Sport” (BITEFIX) project aims to create and offer tools to enable committed stakeholders to work together, contributing to greater efficiency of the existing exchange of information mechanisms, particularly in support of the National Platforms under the Council of Europe’s Macolin Convention, while strengthening the resilience of the system in countering match-fixing and encouraging capacity building.

The BITEFIX project serves to enable committed stakeholders (law enforcement authorities, betting regulators, betting operators, government agencies and sport governing bodies, and others) to work together against match-fixing and betting-fraud in sports through the exchange of timely, secure and reliable information and to raise awareness about the importance of safeguarding the integrity of sport and its important role in European society, with a special focus on grassroots sports.
